Rusty Update **New Update Post 378**

Back in 2008 while going through some horrible chemo I went from 210 to 160 lbs in about 3 months. It was not fat, but muscle mass The head nurse whispered that I might try some plant material to help with my apatite. I did and when I got out of bed I crashed into the TV. My equilibrium was trashed. That was all for me. Of course Rusty, your mileage may vary. I did get a new TV out of the deal.;)

I hear today's stuff really has some horsepower.
Figure about the size of a .177 airgun BB to start

Got this from Rusty today. He's doing some serious battling.

"Bless you for your loyalty and genuine concern. Sadly I am not well or even close to it. I have lost over 30 pounds. My arms and legs look like pipe cleaners.
Ruthie has to sit in the bathroom with me while I take a shower as I am unsteady. I am in almost constant discomfort.

Eating is a nightmare as I have no appetite and my taste buds have been affected to the point that I can taste nothing. I try to force tasteless food in me.

The hardest part is looking at the worry in my family's faces.

My line is faultering and I am being overwhelmed. I am becoming a shadow of my former self.

I will never throw in the towel as my faith is my bulwark. For to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Ever your friend, Rusty."

Hang in there Rusty. We're all praying for a miracle for you and Ruthie in this difficult time.

Your quote of Philippians 1:21 as you suffer the trials of this life is very inspiring.

May you continue to experience the Peace that surpasses all (human) understanding.

God's Will be done my Brother.

Hopeful as all heck

Honest to gosh, everyday Rustyt is in my thoughts and hopes.
Sir Dude, I don’t even know you but I feel as though I do. Obviously intelligent and pretty quick with the one-liners. I would like to have a few bottles of “the finest malted barley, cereal grains and selected hops.” At our age I doubt if any other plants would hurt a damned thing, either! I really regret driving out to Columbus to pick up Angel and not making plans for a cup of coffee or a couple beers or just a hello. I understand you’re in the arena with the hungry lions at your heels. It’s easy for for others to say stay strong, you’re tough, fight it out, you got this, etc. Easier said than done. It hurts to see a good guy go through the danged BS you’re going through.
A lot of folks are doing our best with the thoughts and prayers. I wish you a blessed recovery.
