At my range trip today I picked up some brass stamped S&B 9mm Br. C. It appears to be the same size as .380. Are they exactly the same specs as .380? Also they have red primer sealer on them, would these be factory or reloads?

S&B 9mm Br. C. means 9mm short (.380). Same, same.

Yes, they are factory. Good brass but very tight primer pockets which makes them a challenge to reload.

There has been some question regarding the rim thickness of European .380 ammo. I am not certain of the validity of this, but the gist of it is that some of the manufacturers do not follow SAAMI specs and the rims are ticker than ammo made to spec in the US. Kahr .380 pistols seem to be susceptible to the thicker rims hanging up on extraction.

"9mm Br. C." = 9mm Browning Corto (Short). One of several European variant names for what is known as .380 A.C.P. in the U.S.

You don't hear 9mm Kurz too often, unless you're me, explaining to the cashier that I don't need to show my license, since this .380 ammo is being purchased for a T/C Encore with a 9mm Kurz barrel reamed out to accept .380.

"Oh. Okay!"
