I am thinking of purchasing one of these firearms in the next day or two and would like ANY input.....good or bad.
After lurking around and seeing the knowledge base on this form, I figured this would be the place to get a review on the S&W Gunsight 1911.

Thanks a million in advance!!!!

I have two of the S&W Gunsite Commanders (had three but sold one). Both have been absolutely flawless since day one, one has approx 7,000 rounds thru it and the other about 1500. Lightweight, very easy to carry and conceal plus deadly accurate if you do your part. One of mine will shoot sub one inch groups at 25 yards with good ammo but I did install a match bushing on it. Stock, they are capable of 1.5 to 2 inch groups. Don't know what else to tell you but I'd buy another in a heartbeat and consider all the S&W 1911 series to be the best buy for the $$ when compared to other 1911s. Another big plus is the lifetime warranty and all aftermarket parts will work in the Gunsite. Buy it, you won't be sorry and the Gunsite school would not allow their name to be associated with the gun if they weren't satisfied with it!

Really appreciate your positive input on this weapon.....will probably order one tomorrow after work unless someone has a different story on em...........they seem real nice.
Thanks for the help!'
