Quick question.
What's the model number for the older S&W .22 Magnum revolver? Not the newer 351.
They seem to be hard to find, and expensive when you do find one.
Thanks in advance.
48? Is that what you're asking?
Would that be the K frame Model 48? Or the J frame Models 51, 650, 651?.
The "J" frame is the model 51. There was one on GunBroker that just sold 2 days ago for $1,225
The 650 had a 3" HB and fixed sights, the 651 had adjustable sights...
ONE, OR MAYBE MORE, OF THESE S&W MODELS CAME WITH A .22 LR CYLINDER. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHICH ONE(S) ? ? ?

This information comes from an American Rifleman article from last year:
"It has been reported that a few Model 48 revolvers came from the factory with both .22 LR and .22 WMR cylinders, but this option was aborted soon after its introduction."
I wonder if any collectors on the forum have one of these?
