S&W 3" 1911

Anyone ever see one like this - had to bring it home with me just to nice to pass up - spotted it in the used case. Has polished sides on the slide flats really cool looking.

Does not show one like this on the S&W product site.

Can't wait to get out and shoot it.

That may be the SKU 178052 Lew Horton Edition from 2011 / 2012.
Super nice guns.

Unfortunately, I don't think Lew Horton carries S&W anymore.

I sold quite a few when they were available. Retailed at approximately $1050.

Nice guns, but can't get past the external extractor - same with Sig 1911s.

Thanks for the info. I really like it. I had it out and it worked perfectly with the FMJ winchester white pack ammo and the Federal hydra-shock HP stuff I put through it.

I've been reading about problems with the external extractor but with the 125 rounds I put down range so far it shot great.

I'm really liking this little 45
