S&W .38 Scandium snubby

Anybody have anything to say about this gun? I suppose it's a little like putting the cart ahead of the horse type thing (I already bought it), but would still like some input from folks with a lot more knowledge than I have, with regard to these J frames.

If you are talking about the 360J, I have one, and have been happy with mine. Very light, and rides in the pants pocket nicely in the summer.

Very nice carry guns but beware of "bullet pull" in these scandium frame guns. S&W has info in their literature included w/the gun, but basically do not shoot anything lighter than 120 grains, avoid solid lead bullets and test ANYTHING you plan to carry before going out.

Great guns, the 360J is one of the best deals to come out of S&W in recent years. I got one when they first came out a couple of years ago for a 9mm conversion project and have carried it almost every day since. It cost me $409 from Bud's.

Bullet pull has never been an issue with any ammo I've shot through it and my gun did not come with any warnings about bullet weights.

I actually just found a NIB old stock pre-lock 337 at my local dealer. Price was right so i put some money on it to hold it for me. Can't wait to get it home.

I believe the bullet pull problem is with the 360PD (.357mag). It has a titanium cylinder on a scandium frame. The 360J is a steel cylinder in the scandium frame.

I knew WC145 would chime in. I've been drooling over his 9mm conversion since he first posted pics of it.

I got a 337 Airlite .38 last Spring. It has no IL. The recoil with +P ammo is fairly nasty but I also didn't figure it to be for target shooting. I put a big set rubber target grips on it for the range and it isn't really too bad at all. I had a local smith bob the hammer spur and it makes a very nice carry revolver. Its really nice as a companion to my 640-1. The barrel has "+P Jacketed" on it so I believe the bullet pulling from recoil is an issue with .38's also. I really like the one I have!
