I recently purchased a 6 inch Model 16-4 in .32 H&R at a discount because it had no rear sight but a Weaver scope base. I'm looking for some help on how to get a rear sight for this revolver and hope someone here can help.

I am planning on using this revolver as my hunting sidearm, and plan on sending the cylinder to Bowen Classic Arms to get rechambered as a .327 Federal. I have talked to him about his "Rough Country" sights which will not be a drop-in fit as this is the "Square Tang" model. Anyone know or have advice on rear sights for a 16-4?

Also I need to get a good holster and I like the Galco Phoenix which came up under a K-frame search but says it fits L-frames. Will it work with my K-frame?

Any help is appreciated. Pictures below.

You should be able to get a K frame adjustable sight from S&W. I have also used a version from Millet, available through MidwayUSA.

Welcome to the forum. What kind of scope was he using on it? The revolver looks to me in very good condition and you'll love shooting it!!

Try ebay for a sight , punch in S&W sight and maybe there will be one . I picked up one about six months ago for my n-frame , for only 10.00 .

The 16-4 was made between 89 to 92. Any K Frame sight from that same era should work just fine. You may have to replace the blade for the correct height one. If you convert to .327 save that scope mount, as it will be capable of good long range accuracy.

Ginbroker also has a "parts" section as well as Auction Arms.
