S&W 686-5 Upgrades (Retrogrades?)

So, looking at a 686-5 for a really decent price, but have some concerns. I'd prefer a '-4' as it is the last model before the MIM parts moved in, and no I won't prosecute that issue here again. Suffice to say I don't prefer MIM and will avoid it for well machined steel when I can.

I'd like to replace the hammer and trigger with traditional steel 686 parts, but not sure where to find them. I don't mind used if they're not trashed. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but I can't seem to find any.

Also, it has quite a few duty marks....nothing like bad gashing, just scratches from being heavily handled and holstered a lot. I don't want to hand it over to some hack shop that'll just polish it up to make it look like something worn by an Iraqi dictator, but rather I'd like to get it back to a nice factory look. Any suggestions?

Small scratches can be cleaned up with 3M pads. Go slow with light pressure. I like the white or gray pads for this work. You can get the pads at nearly any hardware store.
