not even a tic.....I've shot IDPA prepped Glocks...
wasn't remotely impressed, good gun, just not the Grail.
Don't know about others but I've NEVER had a S&W handgun that failed to fire. I must be lucky I guess.![]()

Several years ago S&W changed to a "squared" ejector plate and cylinder recess, presumably to cut a couple of steps out of the manufacturing process. In five shot revolvers the arms of the star can look like they are of random lengths. That's the actual design, not manufacturing slop.
Darn, none of my Pythons are polished stainless steel. Where did I go wrong? We ALL want a Python! Polished stainless 4", please.
It states in the Owner's Manual the following...
WARNING: DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE UPWARD FORCE
WHEN INSERTING A LOADED MAGAZINE INTO THE
PISTOL. EXCESSIVE UPWARD FORCE COULD CAUSE
THE SLIDE TO MOVE FORWARD, CHAMBERING A ROUND AND
MAKING THE PISTOL READY TO FIRE.

First, let me preface this by saying I've been drinking...
Next, I'm bored. Anywho...
Several thoughts come to mind, first: the Internet is relatively new. 20 years ago when someone bought a bad product, they did not have a source they could come to and readily profess their disgust. This leads to an overwhelming appearance of all companies showing a loss in quality over the past decade.
I've purchased 5 new firearms in the last 10 years from, Remington, beretta, Springfield, and smith and Wesson (total not each). I've had zero problems with any of them. I am a happy camper. I didn't come home and jump on the interwebs and profess how awesome they were. I didn't care.
But, when somene finds a lemon they want to vent. So, the likelihood that you see something wrong from a particular company is much more probable than you see someone who bought one from Cabelas, went to the range, and is singing happy happy songs.
Remember, thousands of firearms are being sold every day. From all across the country. If one dude comes on here and says their gun stinks, suddenly everyone cries foul.
My most recent purchase is an IL 60-14. I'm going to shoot the begeezus out of it, 1300 rounds and going strong. Best yet, if it fails while I'm pumping out lead, I have a lifetime waranty. Seriously, thats awesome. Ask ford or Chevy to do that for you.
