S&W K32 Project...

Froggie, Horvath does some great work. I've shot some of Taffin's Horvath sixguns, and they are very impressive. You will be very pleased, I am sure. I just was wondering if yours and mine would be bench-mates...

Froggie, you should have taken your revolver to David Clements in Woodlawn, VA. Then, you would have only been 15 miles from my house and we could have gotten in some range time together.

Seriously, I've heard many good things about Andy as well.

Gil,

I looked at David's website, and it looked as though he was only working on SA Rugers at this time. Does he do this kind of work on S&Ws as well? It would be a real plus for me to have access to that caliber of gunsmith right here in the area.

BTW, I was at the Gator this weekend... when are you going to be coming to Ft Shenandoah?

Froggie

I was reading another thread about K-frame 32s and this one came up in the "Similar Threads" box. Boge, I was wondering whether you ever did the article in Gun Blasts you mentioned here... I couldn't find it.

In the intervening time, I've gotten and enjoyed my Project 616 and have also had a recreation of the Model 16-3 done using a Model 14-3 donor gun, a rebored Model 17 cylinder, and an original NOS Model 16 barrel kindly provided to me by a forum member who prefers big bores. I would be hard put to decide which of the two K-frame 32s I prefer... both are a source of great fun and enjoyment.

Anyway, I'll reactivate this thread and ask for more info on your project, Boge.

Regards,
Froggie

I can't believe that it was that long ago that I got interested in building a K Frame .327 Federal gun. Since that time Andy has built two for me and they are a joy to shoot.

You're welcome, ;)

Seriously, they are kind of habit forming. I'm currently struggling with the process of building a "Kit Gun" in 32 S&W Long, based on a pre-War Regulation Police that has already been rebarreled by Bubba. That will be my last custom 32... stop me if you've heard THAT story before!

Froggie
