S&W Model 15-3

I was fortunate enough last January to win this pristine 15-4 on Gun Broker for 4 C-Notes. The seller lived only two hours from my house, so I drove his place and made the trade in person. I couldn't believe how nice this revolver was with target trigger/target hammer and it came with all original papers & box (no tools). It was like looking at a new gun.

My wife and I took the Combat Masterpiece to the range and it shot too well. So well in fact that my wife claimed it as her own! It now resides on her side of the bed in her nightstand. She lets me look at it from time to time.

......Life does have its difficulties.

As others have stated, run, don't walk and buy that gun. You'll not regret it and that is a fair price for it.

I have a M15-4, and I agree that the 15 is one of the finest S&Ws ever made. I picked mine up a couple years ago (for under $400, but without the original grips) and it one that I ALWAYS take on range trips. It is scary accurate.

In fact, I spent this morning at the range and the 15-4 was shooting 148gr wadcutter handloads into 1.5" or smaller groups at 25 yards (from a rest, of course). Recoil is almost nonexistent, the sights make shooting easy and the trigger is almost perfect.

In short, it is one of my favorites and it will always live where I live. If I found another example tomorrow for the price you mentioned, I'd definitely be a buyer.

Sorry Guys, I've been out of town and plan to get to the LGS Monday. I hope it's still there. [emoji18]

Great purchase, I believe you'll enjoy her.

She deserves a set of really fine wood grips (since you're going aftermarket), or perhaps stag or some other natural material.

Whatever you decide for grips, enjoy that one. It is a fine example of the art.

Also, when you do add different grips, pleas update the thread with pictures.

Okay, got to the LGS and she was still there. Out the door was $455.00.

All I'm planning is a good cleaning and a new set of after-market grips cause I plan to shoot her. [emoji6]

I've never had a pair of stag grips. I'll check around.
I'm on the waiting list with Craig Spegel... maybe I'll get a call soon. [emoji4]

That is a Dandy. Good deal to. I inherited my Dads 15-4 and have yet to shoot it. Still at his house so my Sister has some Home Defence.
