S&W Model 3 2nd Russian

I have a 2nd model Russian but looking for some info on it. The serial # is confusing. On the butt its 35445 and I know the cylinder has been changed but the frame numbers are 33445. Do you think someone messed up stamping the butt or barrel?

Post photographs of both serial numbers. Sometimes it takes clear photographs that are enlarged to really tell what the numbers are.

Agree with mrcvs. The three of that era had a flat top like the five and are easily mistaken for each other.
