Yes. There is a need for a trigger job. My first M&P had a marginal trigger and the second was worse. $90 Apex kit and 30 minutes later and the difference is night and day.

Because I own an M&P that I got real cheap and used this forum to help upgrade it. I'm also an avid 3rd Gen fan and have two 357 magnums from the 70's that will be pried from my cold, dead hands.
I wasn't aware I needed to individually join each sub-forum on the website.
You can say what you want. You can look at ladder13's post on Sigforum which was entirely a troll post, or you can look at mine that actually has pertinent comments from one of the companies involved in this.
There's more than enough criticism about Sigs at that site. What isn't tolerated is a troll like you comes over to just badmouth Sigs because you're butthurt people badmouthed S&W over a decision so stupid that they've posted an apology over this (along with the paralegal that wrote the lawsuit that can't figure out how to use a spellchecker or demand an answer no later than January 5 of this year).

As if this sort of low level over-zealousness and thought process of " ... let's do something now, without checking with anyone up-levels ..." doesn't occur in any other organization.
Sounds like corporate belatedly discovered something messy that ought not to have happened, but stepped up and took company responsibility for it anyway, publicly and personally apologized, and has apparently taken steps to prevent a recurrence.

S&W has publicly apologized, and that apology has apparently been accepted by the companies that got the letter. This is a minor blip on the radar, and we can all move on to the 2016 new models, including the unveiling of the next gen M&P model for the military XM17 trials, and the FBI pistol trial offering.
...of which I'm very interested in seeing. One of the reasons I have an M&P as my "house gun" is that the damn thing is sooo comfy compared to everything else on the market (gets close with a VP9, but for an extra $350 over what I bought my M&P for, it better). I'd love to see a better trigger and better accuracy.
I hope the irony of S&W grumbling about other companies "infringing" on this and that hasn't been lost on everyone - after all, the only gun more similar in design to a Glock than an M&P is... another Glock
To be sure, we - as consumers - benefit, I myself own several of each (since together they make the perfect handgun), but I doubt I'd be able to retain the sense of humor about that if I were a Glock exec.
