Is the rear sight slide the same for K & L frames ?

For N-Frame's didn't the rear sight come in a smooth ramp (Model 28) and ribbed ramp version (Model 27 etc.)?

The M28 is the only smooth one, the M27 is finely checkered, all the rest have lengthwise grooves.

I was refering to the rear sight slide.

All the slides are the same, except for the height.
