S&W Registered Magnum, KB Stocks, Restored by Cylinder & Slide

You got that fine revolver for about todays (inflation) price of what the prior owner paid in 2015 for the C&S work.

Very Nice!
..and it's a Shooter too..

Thanks! I’m very pleased with it. This is by far was the best bargain I’ve ever got on a gun in my lifetime. Bargain and Reg Mag usually don’t read in the same sentence! I’m glad I figured out how to post the better pics from forum album, much better clarity!

First off, what a gorgeous revolver. Call me nuts but I think I'd rather own that than a pristine original, because I'd quite literally be afraid to even handle an original in ultra-high condition much less shoot it.

Secondly... I'm blown away completely by the price. Have I read this correctly, you are at under $3,500 out the door, gun in hand for a restored RM that had $2,500 of work done by a legendary outfit 8 years ago?!

What a smoking deal. What a beauty!

And we are fortunate that you've shared it with us!

Thanks! Since the information is already out there, I won this bid at $2925 and the total out the door cost for everything was $3278. More than I’ve ever paid for a gun before but well worth it to finally acquire a reg mag.

I did feel bad for the seller, he had previously listed at $6500 then later $5500, and then a penny auction which was the auction I won. I agree, an original finish pristine reg mag, no way should one shoot that! But this one I do feel comfortable shooting.

I realize that even 3k is a tidy sum for most people (it was for me) but it was a price I was willing to pay one time! I really enjoy collecting various types of guns, especially vintage, but for me it is a hobby (a dreaded word to some collectors!) and while I could perhaps spend more on guns sometimes, like many others I have family obligations, a mortgage, home improvements, etc… that takes priority and always will.
