S&W SW99 .40 S&W

I found two of these at a LGS today. Just the guns, one magazine, $200.00 each. Magazines seem to be scarce. Are these worth bothering with, or have all parts and accessories dried up?

Things like recoil springs and backstraps interchange with the Walther P99 so parts can be found through Walther Arms (but don't tell them you're buying for a S&W product).

Night sights are still available from Trijicon and Meprolight.

Depending on condition, I would consider $200 a very good price.

That's a real good price, and CDNNsports.com has the factory 12-round mags (in .40 S&W) for $28.99.

For that price, I'd go for it.

For $200 I'd buy both of them. That's a good price IMO. The recoil in .40 on the 99-series pistols is oddly snappy even compared to other .40 pistols but nothing that can't be easily handled.
