Chiefs’ Eric Berry has possible cancerous mass in his chest

During the Chiefs’ game at Oakland last Thursday night, Chiefs Pro Bowl safety Eric Berry felt some chest discomfort.

After a weekend of testing, team doctors and those at the University of Kansas Hospital determined Berry has a mass on the right side of his chest, and the leading consideration is that Berry has lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system, Chiefs head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder said Monday.

i love berry and always wish he was on the pats....he's only 25 too...younger then me and that's scary.

I really hope he pulls through

I saw that and was saddened by it. I know nothing much about the young man except that he's reputed to be very good at his job. But he's just a kid, and it always saddens me when a kid is seriously ill.

I hope it's treatable and he'll be okay.
