More info......

A deputy stopped Wilson's car using a PIT maneuver and released K-9 Titan to help catch Wilson.

Wilson opened fire on Coweta County deputies, Fairburn police officers and K-9 Titan using an AK pistol.

The police dog was struck multiple times and died at the scene, officials said.

A deputy was also struck multiple times, suffering several graze wounds.

Law enforcement shot back at Wilson, killing him.

Very sorry to hear about Deputy Titan and the injured deputy. I hope the injured deputy makes a full recovery.

Coweta County was one of the many departments featured on the hit cop show OnPatrol:Live this past year.

I watched Deputy Titan in action with his K9 handler and the other members of the Sheriffs Dept. I love watching all of those K9's out there doing their job.
The human deputies wear body cams over their ears, or at least I think those are body cams.I have never seen any other dept doing so.

Butts County replaced Coweta in the past month or so.

Aw man.......

GOOD DOG, TITAN! (That's all the praise that dogs would ever ask for) Prayers for the deputy that was injured.

PS: The perp got what he deserved. He started firing at them with an AK. Sorry sack of...........

Shameful. It wasn't painless for the handler deputy. Best wishes for a complete recovery.
We can hope it was relatively painless for ol' Titan. RIP ol' boy.

Petty criminals fear the K9 and they usually surrender quickly. Hardened ones have no regard for the lives of the dog or its handler and this results in the injury or death of the animal, its handler or the perpetrator, some or all. It takes a special person to bond with and trust their four legged partner rather than a human one. LE, first responders and the military rely on the use of these faithful animals in many situations. Other countries use them with little regard for their safety or lives.

So sad. Hero dogs. Perp gets to meet Satan.
