Sales refused to LE in ban states

Kiddos to the boycott! At some point law enforcement will have to stop being stooges for the insane administrations they work for and take a stand.

Actually the sheriff of my county and one of the neighboring counties are among a couple others that have publicly come out against Cuomo's Safe Act, and several county boards have done so too. I would like to see Glock and Smith & Wesson on the boycott list as those are the two agencies that deal in LEO sales in this state for handguns.

MagPul Industries in CO. says they'll pull up and leave the state if a currently considered hi-cap mag ban is enacted.

State says they can stay and mfg the magazines,,the citizens of the State just can't buy them.
No Good says the company,,we'll take our $85 Mil in business & jobs elsewere.
Good for them..
There's a nice big, empty former Target store within walking distance from me. I'm sure they'd be very welcome here. There'd probably be some attractive tax abatements available too...

Free advertising. If Mayor Emanuel called and said he was looking for bids to equip the Chicago PD with patrol rifles and ammo from a "boutique" manufacturer, they'd be tripping over themselves to do business with "law enforcement".

New Jersey should be placed at the top of the list with 20 new gun bills already passed thru 2 committees. No firearm or ammo mfg. company should sell anything to NJ. Communist Democrat State.

Now 67!

I seriously doubt that places like NYS buy ammo from a place like CTD. More likely from places that specialize in government sales like Precision Delta, or GT Distributors, for instance. If they have contracts with the state, they will have to honor them.

I see a snowball effect happening, I'm hopefull that the list will just keep growing.

and if i had a contract with a scumbag state...I'd tell them to pack sand, legal consequeces be damned.

There comes a time when you have to stand or get in line with the rest of the sheep and usefull idiots.

...... meanwhile there are many private FFLs that will sale to them. I think this "movement" will do nothing but hurt their own pocketbooks.

I highly doubt the likes of S&W, Ruger, Colt, Remington, etc will jump on the bandwagon. Remember, they are publicly owned corporations. They have a duty to maximize profit for their owners (the stockholders). Private companies/private owners have the ability to participate in the boycott. Public companies don't.

I would like to see the ammo manufacturers refuse to sell HP ammo to those states that deny it to their citizens. Think on the implications of that for a bit. ;)

Why should LEOs be any different from your average law abiding citizen? If they have need of an evil assault firearm or high cap mag for duty. Their agency or department will provide it for them. Off duty, they should be treated like any other citizen.

Sort of like the military does it. On duty you get a M4 or M16. Off duty, you are no one special

Really though, why should the police have access to items that are denied the Citizens of this country even when they are on duty? Think about it....the police did their jobs for many years armed with the same weapons that any ordinary person could own. They are, after all, public servants trying to enforce public laws, not an occupying army.

We have seen the spread of high cap guns among police forces, the rise of SWAT units, every little federal agency forming it's own security/police forces. They are all being equipped with MILITARY type weapons and the spread of an "us vs them" attitude seems to be common. Is this really good for the police or this country?

Too many times we hear about wild shooting resulting in innocent casualties....maybe instead of new weapons money should be spent on more training? Where are we headed here? Maybe I am thinking too deeply or philosphicly about this but people (and business owners) need to let our would be rulers know that we are not happy with their actions. I can only hope that more companies will refuse to do business in states that attack our Civil rights and that others will leave the anti-gun states they are in and move to ones that are pro freedom.

It's "the people" who elect the people who make the laws. If those with a beef put in half as much effort into recalls and referendums as they do into bitching about "how come the police can carry 16-round magazines and I might not be able to if this new legislation passes...", the new legislation would very likely not pass.

At this point in my state, the police aren't carrying anything that Joe Citizen can't carry.

As far as the "boycott" by those gun manufacturers and suppliers on the list, it's silly. If they got a big law enforcement contract they'd be tripping over themselves to fill it.

There are just some things that some of us won't do for any amount of money. There are others who will do literally anything for money.

You have to decide which one you are.

It's "the people" who elect the people who make the laws. What "recall" or "referendum" is going to pass in Illinois or New York?

Regarding people selling out for contract money, some people will sell goods but not themselves. There's a difference, and not all that subtle of one.

I have always wondered about NY State, and how a fairly large state with a large rural/small town population seems to be ruled by one or two big cities. I hope it doesn't happen here in Texas. So, far our rural areas are well represented in our leglislature.

Same thing is happening in PA.
