Some of the best science fiction writers and really great stories started out in science fiction magazines. Are there any still around, I always like some great reading but never see any on the shelves anywhere.

I recall them, but looked at Border's frequently for them and found none while they were in business.

For whatever reason, I never checked Barnes & Noble. I'll do that soon.

Here are a couple of issues of F & SF that I have treasured for years:

I always thought Kilgore Trout was a fictional character, until I found these.

I did not realize that Analog was still in print. Some of the greatest SciFi in history was published in that magazine and the list of great authors that John W. Campbell first published when it was still Astounding is huge. One of my all time favorite novels from Analog was Sleeping Planet which is out of print now and almost impossible to find except in used book stores and on e-bay.

Of course Campbell also published L. Ron Hubbard's Dianetics.:(

Adding the dog and the guy with the ukelele certainly lends a different aspect to the Venus than one usually sees in the Botticelli original of the art...but it's sort of cute. :D

Tex, I thought you might be one guy who would get the significance of these issues. Any Vonnegut fans out there?
