i can't really answer your question except for i live in mass and i know that s&w has had big production problems the last 8 months so there may not be that many out there. and because of our laws here we cannot but them anyway. your right the sigma is a nice gun i have 9 and 40 ve

Both accurate out of the box at 10 yards
4 in group free hand.
500 rounds through both

I'm glad to hear these guns, particularly the 40's, are holding up and shooting well. I nearly bought one a year ago, but I never buy any new product until it's been out and in use long enough for 'the bugs' to appear- and get worked out.
