Hey yall so some info quickly, I'm new to LTC, concealed carry in preticlure. Givin the fact I'm new to this I'm tryin to find what's most conferterable for me. Appendix seems to be my favorite, heres where I get lost. In theory if you have the gun loaded with one in the pipe, in a full kydex holster the only way you'll have a ND is with human error in holstering correct? The SD9VE has internal safteys that only allow the gun to be fired if the trigger has been pressed, correct? So when I see all these videos or posts of how you'll die if you appendix carry, it's not the gun randomly going off, its human error then correct? I hope this doesn't come off foolish, I'm just tryin to save my *** if I'm not looking at this from the right angle.

You are correct in your statement that a ND is usually caused by reholstering your gun,BUT it can also be caused by drawing the gun improperly from the holster. 99% of the time there should not be a concern with any method of carry but There are no absolutes in life.
A Good rule is to NEVER draw a loaded gun from your holster unless you HAVE to use it!
If you need to take the gun off for any reason, take the holster off with the gun inside. Also practice your draw with an UNLOADED gun and dry fire it!!
I carry Appendix and find it is the most comfortable for me in the warm months and pocket carry in an appropriate holster when the weather turns cold.
Make SURE you know how your gun functions and keep it maintained properly. Get some training from a qualified instructor if possible.
Be SAFE and Shoot often!

I appreciate that man, its nice to have some confidence. I'm deffenatally going to practice, practice, practice I'm very big on taking responsibility and doing things smart and safe. It's a reassuring feeling to know that I'm no longer going to be "naked" in this unforgiving world. Any tips on carrying besides the usual "dont fiddle with it" or "dont print"? Thank you for the help
