I'm going to buy an M&Pc (.40) and may want a .357 Sig barrel. Are any of you going this route and have any constructive thoughts?

I am going with a ported 357 sig barrel from Storm Lake in my FS 40 along with an optic for a low buck open class gun. 2 guns for the price of 1.25...

I have the same thoughts as SWOK 'been looking at the 357 package offered by S&W that comes with a factory 40 bbl. I'll report back if it all comes together in the next week or so. It would be good to get some feed-back first...

Just order the factory 357 Sig barrel from Midway like I did. Cheap too. Will try it out when it gets here.

Maybe a dumb question but can I get a .357 barrel that would work in my 9fs? Or a .40?

This would be a nice bonus as I didn't think this was possible...

The 357 Sig barrel is a drop in for the .40. Nothing else must be changed.

You cannot and should not try to do so with the M&P9. The breechface is different and the slide is lighter in weight, which would cause excessive slide velocities if you could make it fit.

you found a .357sig compact barrel at midway? I've been looking forever and they don't have it listed.

Hey all, I heard of someone buying a .40c and then getting the .357 barrel from SW and buying a 9mm conversion from somewhere. Does that sound like a reasonable thing to do?

I wouldn't mind doing that myself. 3 guns in 1. Lots of options.

After a month's wait...I finally got my S&W 357 Sig Barrel!

Initially when I decided that I wanted a 357 Sig barrel I checked MidWay USA and they had it in stock. I delayed purchase for a few days and they were out of stock. I waited a month or so and finally got one and ran it through the paces and its awesome. I will mainly use my 40 FS as a 357 Sig FS now. Get one-can't beat the price and the reliability factor.
