Seems a little DARK for $328,835!

The real saddness does not come from the authority abuse that took this picture but that the statue shown there is loosing its meaning.

I would like to know the cost to the taxpayer's of AF-1 and it's travels just since the inauguration.

O and his cortege just seems to pop into it and take a run to somewhere about weekly.

That is true! Especially in this picture, the AF-1 is shown as huge and magestic. The Statue of Liberty is kind of like an insignificant background prop. Maybe that is their intention?!
To be fair there may be other pictures out there from a different prospective I haven't seen them though.

That's so you can read it in your rear view mirror.

I know there is a lot more to this than meets the eye.

In the first place, the day was a poor day for doing that. You don't deliberately take photos, especially one that have high costs involved, on that kind of day. It just doesn't make sense.

They said there was "one" photo? BS, there is no way someone did that "purposefully" and only took one picture.

In the first place, I would assume that getting just the right positioning of the two aircraft and the Statue of Liberty would be a little difficult? One picture is ridiculous!

Why did they release such a "crappy" photo?

A little judicious use of photoshop could have turned that from a piece of crap to something that might be "half way acceptable?"

My wife is the photoshop expert in my family, even though that in my younger years I worked as a photographer.

When she has a bunch of pics of something, she goes through them on her puter and asked me for advice. A picture like that would have been deleted to cyber hell...!

Somebody is lying big time here. Maybe the plane was just on a routine mission for training or testing? Could another plane "come along" just for the photo op? Possibly, but not too likely.

I would like to see this become a big issue and see more heads roll. It is BS.

Obama's major supporters would have demanded a refund of the 'contribution' they paid for the 'three hour tour'!

Where's an uncharted desert 'isle when you really need one???!!!

Hard to tell on the numbers, but the flag is correct- on an aircraft, the flag on the right side is reversed, so it does not appear to fly in defiance of the laws of physics. Similar to the reason our troops now where a 'reversed' flag on their right shoulder.

Too much haze for that kind of shot. The best pics like that are done in winter right after a cold front passes.

Also, nice bubble reflection from the canopy.

No one that has been around aviation photography for any length of time would call that a professional job.

Don't even have to be in aviation photography... a half-way decent amateur would have brought along a circular polarizer and a large, flexible lens hood.

Has Al Gore sold Obama some carbon credits to make this all carbon-neutral?

Yeah... highly doubt this is the official photo they'd put in the ol' scrapbook.

Correct re the flag.

The flag on a moving object (soldier or aircraft) is to be displayed in a manner consistent with its being carried into battle.
