Self-control? Or just plain broke? Or kinda being stupid?

They and the other LGS a couple of towns over seem to have a fair number of 3rd gen guns come through their doors. I've bought most of mine from one or the other.

I saw both of the new additions and even thought about going up to look at the 4516-1. I have a 5906, so the 915 is not tempting.

I just keep checking their sites, almost like an obsession. Of course that's how I came up with the 3913TSW and my second 3913. :)

Well, the funny thing about the dealer in question is that when one 3rd Gen disappears off the used gun list, one or two different ones seem to take its place. :) And I see that just happened today. :p

Anyone in MA want a 4516-1 for $500? Or a 915 for $400?

I've already got a 4516-1 and I sure as heck can't afford another one. :)

And the 915 is nice but I'd much rather have a 910S. :D

Have you seen the 411 at the "other" place? :) It is sweet! Best preserved finish I have seen on a black value line 3rd Gen pistol. Too bad for me that I have no money left (and already have enough 3rd Gen .40's). ;)

No, but only because I don't have any interest in .40 guns, 3rd generation of otherwise.

Since I live south of Boston, I am generally up there only when I see something on their websited I'm interested in.

Well, fortunately for us, the ones you are looking for, I'm not... and vice versa. :D

Despite the fact that I don't feel a pressing need to get into the value line 3rd Gens, and especially the black ones, that dang purdy 411 is calling to me. :p

If I win the lottery, I'm heading right up there. :D

As much as I like a SIG 220, I think I'll just have to make do with my 4566.
Even well-used SIGs cost more than my lightly-used 4566.
That, and I'm a lefty.

Well, as I recall, you practically stole that 4566, so that's not a fair comparison. :D

That used two-tone, no rail Sig P220 that I found was $600+Tax after some hard negotiating. Dealer wouldn't even come down three more dollars (there's a funny story about that!). It was a fairly old version, but not being a Sig expert, I couldn't tell you a specific version name, number or year. The thing was essentially unused.

The closest I have come in MA to your 4566 is a 4586, which I negotiated down to $490+Tax (no box - one magazine). I know I could have gotten the dealer down to $475+Tax but it didn't matter. All I had left at that point was $450 in my wallet and I had already maxed out my ATM card for the day.

The 4566 is a bit more desirable than the 4586 so the comparison is a bit off... but yes, you are probably right. In theory, if I could ever find one, a 4566 would probably be a little less expensive than the $600+Tax price of that Sig. :)

Did I mention, that 4566 had factory, fixed night sights?:)
Found that out when I got curious about why the 3 dot sights didn't look right, and turned out the lights.

I your state i think i would have had to buy it. I didn't realize how lucky I am in Kentucky . I randomly go to the gun stores on my lunch hour and impulse buy a 3rd Gen or police trade in revolver and still have time to stop and get a burger before heading back to work.

And if you decide to sell it just put an ad in the local online forum, and sell it for cash the next day in a supermarket parking lot. I love Georgia, especially after living my whole life in NJ and Manhattan.

Wise guy!!! :p That doesn't help me, now does it? :D

The gun-grabbers are coming after you Southern folks too! That kind of freedom won't last forever. Then you'll get to find out what life has been like behind enemy lines in Massachusetts all these many years.  :(
