I have a Uberti Schofield Replica. I just broke it down to clean it. I think I chipped off a little part off the barrel hinge pin (think that's what you call it). I unscrewed the barrel hinge pin screw, and then punched the hinge pin out. I cleaned it, dropped the hinge pin back in. Tried to hammer it a little with the butt of the screwdriver, realized there was a bump on the side of hte hinge pin that made it so you had to fit the hinge pin into the hole turned a certain way. I dropped it in. Put the barrel back on. Put the screw in and screwed until the other side of hte hinge pin was pulled into the frame as tight as I could. It was so tight that I could barrely open and close the gun. I loosened it a little...and that helped. But the screw is a little loose. I unscrewed it and punched the hinge pin out again and the little bump on the side of it was largely chipped off

I guess that's why the gun is so tight when you screw the screw in all the way.
I figure I need to order a new barrel hinge pin.
Seems you can't do the simplist things on these guns without wrecking it.

EDITED: changed "catch" to "hinge pin"

I just called them and left a message thank you.
No it isn't a Navy arms.

Can anyone comment on the what is going on with tightening the screw and the catch? (actually I think I they call it a...."Hinge Pin). Is that bump on the side of it chipping away what is causing my problems?
I want to be sure I know what I am doing
