Shield 9mm or Glock 43?

So I did have my mind made up - but I would like input on how big a deal this rsa issue is. Is this a rare event or a common theme?

If nature prevails, just about everyone who has an issue/problem of any sort seeks out a Brand based forum to post about it (Boudreauaj and Hand Gunner are two most recent examples)... Either to look for help, or to simply vent/rant... So... Personally, I feel it's probably a rare event, but everyone who HAS the problem is going to post about it. (I could be wrong)

If you scan various the RSA threads, there are probably a dozen members who've had problems. Does this constitute a mere fraction of others who haven't sought out a forum to post? Who knows for sure.

My original RSA, with over 7K rounds has been flawless, but SHOULD be replaced. Since I should be getting my new OEM replacement RSA this weekend, hold off and I'll let you know if there are any problems with it.

If you JUST CAN'T WAIT and your gun money is burning a hole in your pocket... Get the Glock. :D

I have to agree with GTownGeorge. I've seen the G43 and the G26, and think the G26 is the better way to go. Medium-sized frame and much-larger ammo capacity, with minimal increase in weapon size.
Another consideration is the Ruger LC9 or LC9s. I realize Ruger replaced the LC9 with the striker model, but Galloway Precision offers a kit ($100 DIY or $150 factory-installed) which SIGNIFICANTLY reduces trigger travel on the original LC9 pistol, and was the primary complaint with that weapon. The beauty of the LC9/LC9s is the relatively-small overall size coupled with a Ruger-manufactured 9, yes 9-round, magazine, which gives the operator full four finger grip to control recoil and improve accuracy.
With my Shield currently being evaluated at the factory for poor accuracy/heavy trigger pull, I have my Walther PPS 40 and Ruger LC9 for summertime concealed carry.

I'm a fan of the 43. I can wear it with basketball shorts and a t shirt. Trigger is sweet. The plus 2 mag extension makes it even better. It is small, but it's supposed to be. My only complaint is my thumb tends to ride the mag catch; allowing the slide to move forward after last round fired. Just have to re-train I suppose. Having said all that, I'm still an m&p fan boy.
