I bought mine without the safety....while it may be true that with it you have the option of using it or not but without it you don't have to worry about it "accidentally" being on when you don't want it on. I carry at 4:00 on my right with an IWB Kydex holster so I don't worry about accidental trigger pull since the holster is rigid. I also know not to put my finger on the trigger unless I'm ready to shoot. Training is a beautiful thing.
Good thing is the safety is such a low profile. Its almost impossible to accidentally turn it on. And probably even more impossible to accidentally turn it off. So the chances are very slim.
Of all these years carrying mine 12+ hours a day, 6 days a week. And during all the training. I've never once had it accidentally turn off on on. Then again, ive never once had it go click when i pulled the trigger either.
