Shield factory casing

Ok. I was told to never open the little envelope that your test round is in from my LGS when I bought my shield. He was saying something about if they ever passed some type of law where they needed to check your gun and that envelope was opened that it would take years to get your gun back if ever? Anyone know what he could have possibly meant by that?

I'd be willing to bet they all had a good laugh after you left. Sounds like a typical "new guy" joke. Things like that happen in the military constantly, helps beat back the boredom.

Boy did they see you coming. I bet they're still laughing about that. What if the envelope was lost, or thrown out after the gun was sold. Guys just trying to break up the boredom. GARY

Im not "New" to guns, thats why I was kinda taken aback by what he said and he definitely wasn't kidding. Thats why I found it odd that he said that. Just was wondering if anyone had heard of such a thing.

I wasn't insinuating that you are new, it's just a term for that kind of joke. In the Army we called them "fish games". Just a little good natured kidding.

Got the gun back and took it to the range on Sat. Feed 100 rounds through it with no problems. They replaced the barrel on it. Also had them remove the sights since they had it in because I was going to put in the Warren tactical night sights. No charge for the removal. Pretty cool off them.

The CCI Aluminum Blazer is dang good plinking ammo. SUPER accurate in several calibers I have tried: 380, 9mm, 40, 45, 357mag, 44mag. For guys that do not reload, like me, it's a nice inexpensive alternative.
