Shield search is finally over!

Nothing makes a Monday, than finally finding a shield! After countless calls to shops everywhere in the area, my largest lgs got a handful in this morning. After that phonecall, it was time for an early lunch. Ten minutes later, and i was holding the newest family member. Can't wait to get to the range!

Let me guess. Based on your user name I'll guess you picked up a Shield in .40 as opposed to 9mm, right?

Lol...actually went with the 9 on this one. Was certainly a tough decision though.

Congrats! I went and shot my BG380 today at my LGS and saw a Shield in .40 sitting on one of their shelves. Kinda irked me since I've been on a waiting list for a 9mm at that same LGS.

You are going to love it, just shot 150 through mine for first time Friday. It was absolutely a ball to shoot, it just fits my hand so good....what a great gun. Let us know what you think afterwards.

wow yay another one. Glad you're finally getting to enjoy it. I've loved mine ever since I got it in APRIL. 600+ rounds and still enjoying.

Mr2r6....the shop name is Shoot Straight. They are a chain of gun shops here in fla. Just google them, pretty sure they do online sales. Paid $449. + tax. Probably would have spent what i could have saved, just on gas looking for one. Yes, certainly look forward to putting some lead downrange. Love the feel in the hand!

Congrats on the Shield. I have the same pistol and absolutely love it. If anyone else is looking for one in the Tampa area I got mine at Bill Jackson's in Pinellas Park a couple of weeks ago. They have a demo 9mm and had two 9mm in stock when I got mine.

I tried Shoot Straight in Brandon and Clearwater first but according to the salesperson they sell their stock of Shields in a matter of hours and don't offer a waiting list. Bill Jackson's isn't as well known but they have a very good selection. Needless to say I was quite surprised to find one there on my first try. Paid $449 + tax and got a free month of range membership....which is always nice.

i know the bill jacksons store well. thats where i go for range time. everytime i called, or was there, they didn't have the shield. you're right great selection, and friendly and helpful staff.
