guess i should start by saying howdy all new to the site .
my ? is i just got my shield 40 cal and am wanting to do a trigger job but for the life of me cant get the rear sight to move at all. I am moving from left to right but nothing any ideas ? and i have 3 other m&ps that I have done this too and no prob getting the rear sight off.

The sights are on very tight. My gun guy put mine in a padded vice and used a block and small hammer to tap it out.

As for Badge130 .. I have a Glock too and it has NO WHERE a sweet of a trigger after ATEI replaced the trigger, shortened the preset and other goodies to it on my Shield compared to my G19 3rd gen .. not even close!

My Shield 9MM REAR SIGHT was EXTREMELY TIGHT, remove the set screw, soak with some penetrating oil.

We had TWO different Sight Pushers on it before it moved and came out, it moves from LEFT to RIGHT.

The Shields FRONT SIGHT is the one that's adjustable for SIGHT ALIGNMENT. The REAR Sight is NOT adjustable as such, but REMOVABLE for sight REPLACEMENT.

Some say they had an easier time on sight removal, but I did not, mine was a BEAR to remove.

Be careful, there is a RETAINING COVER and SPRING under the rear sight for the Striker Block that can fly out.

Trigger Kits, such as those produced by Apex Tactical, are meant to make a GOOD TRIGGER a GREAT TRIGGER.

MANY A GLOCK has had its trigger reworked.

I also can't get the rear sight to break loose. (shield 40) I hit it way harder than I ever have hit a sight. Used heat also. Have some micro freeze I will try next.
