Man this stuff is horrible!! What the heck is wrong with people? I will be Praying for the children and their families!

Another school shooting. This time in a Connecticut elementary school. Good grief. Prayers to them

If this keeps up the gun grabbers are gonna have all they need to drop the hammer on us

It is so sad that at Christmastime someone thinks they have so few options in their life that they have to do something like this.

I do understand that the major holidays create an expectation of happiness that, if it is not fulfilled, can cause depression.

The news says "multiple fatalities."
 
A shooter or shooters have killed at least 3 but there have been reports not verified of 12 dead. Say a Prayer. *** is happening. Their saying to gunmen were involved.

Reportedly, 27 deceased at this point. This school is K-4 only. This is a quiet, very small, rural town.


One Shooter dead. No report on by Police or own hand.

Everyone pray please.

They are more reporting 26 have been killed 18 children & 8 adults.

Just saw it on fox. My god, what is the world coming to!!?? I am so sad for the families. Why would anyone do something like this? Is there a way to stop these crazy people?
 
such a terrible tragedy, i don't really know what to say right now.
god help the families and people affected.
 
Prayers for those in the tragedy. This is the result of a very sick society. It is only going to get worse I am afraid. A society that has lost all concept of right and wrong. A society that won't allow us to have God in schools. A society that wants the 10 Commandments removed from public buildings. A society that wants to be secular and have nothing to do with the morality taught by religion. You reap what you sow!

I am angry and saddened by this behavior. We will never know why this/these man/men decided to act it this way. I am sorry this had to happen, I can only pray for the families who lost a family member. God Grant Them His Peace.
 
The world is becoming a very sick place. Prayers go out for all affected by the act of this madman.
 
This scares the heck out of me. I drop my 5 year old son off at Kindergarten everyday, and have a license to carry, but the "law" states no firearms on school property.
 
Gunman a 20 year old or 20 something allegedly had a connection to the school.

Close to 30 killed, 18-20 were children.

Shooters name Ryan Lanza.

The area is now secure.

Actually, it does make sense. We live in a country that was founded on decency and a belief in God (the real one). In the past few decades our nation has turned from its roots and has embraced every form of depraved behavior. Many kids are raised without moral values and the respect for life that previous generations had. They see violence glorified from the time they are old enough to sit in front of a TV or computer screen. Often times they come from a lousy home life with parents either absent or abusive. It is easy to see how the monsters perpetrating these horrible crimes are created.

Often, in the end, some psychobabble spouting "professional" prescribes the small percentage that become the monsters of such a society with mind altering drugs. Research how many mass shooting perps quit taking their meds before the massacre...

Through it all, our liberal "leaders" keep pushing for more in the name of "personal freedoms". Many of these same people have the ultimate agenda of stripping all of our Constitutional rights. They believe that no crisis should go to waste and can be expected to use the products of their destructive policies (mass shootings, in this case) to further their agenda. It'll all be funded off the backs of the people who actually work for a living and pay the taxes.

My prayers go out to those who lost innocent family members in this tragic event. May God comfort them. What a waste. :(
 
Our society is in sad shape.....prayers for these familes that are suffering what no one should have suffer. I believe we need teachers trained in the use of weapons or ex military that would be willing to help protect our schools. I would feel better knowing that a teacher had the ability to protect the children in their care...we can not detect what is in someones mind...but we have the ability to end their killing spree. This should not happen in America....when I went to school...there things were unheard of....where have we gone wrong? What is our country coming to?? What do we need to do to stop this? Where will it end? Passing more laws will not stop this behavior......I hate the thought that we need armed intervention in our schools....but what can prevent or stop this.....only thing I can think of is to be able to end the mad mans life as quickly as possible.
 
I know its already come out that Obama will speak this afternoon and one report on Fox is that he was asked about assault weapons legislation, and his answer was that the issue is likely to come up. My God they can't even wait until the end of the day before they start thinking of legislation.
I know they apparently found the mother of the shooter (I refuse to mention this ***'s name) dead in a home nearby. Soon as the .223 rifle was mentioned a few reporters got the hot and sweaties asking about assault weapons and how many rounds can it hold. Personally any low life that can kill a kindergarten age child can't find a warm enough spot in hell for my liking.
 
Yes this is a quote from a news article but in this case I find it sums it up. If you want to delete it then please do, delete some other posts on this thread as well.

It's as if as a society we are losing our soul. We haven't had these type of things happen en masse like we have recently. Guns have been with us for well over a hundred years but these type of people haven't. It is said the smartest thing the devil did was convince us he doesn't exist. Well, he does, and as a society we have ignored him far too long. I'll be praying for the families of those children and adults who have been victims of this evil. God help us all.

Many schools already have metal detectors and armed Resource Officers. Evert school here has a Sheriffs Deputy.

What I find amazing is that when we (older folks) went to school guns of all kinds existed. Semi Autos were avaliable, Shotguns everywhere, maybe not the high cap handguns but lots of Military rifles. What is different now other than people are crazy??
