Shooting in Wheeling, WVA

A gunman opened fire on the Wheeling W VA courthouse. Either no one was injured or one person was slightly injured by flying glass. Security returned fire and the shooter is dead.

When I saw the title of the thread, I was expecting to see a picture of someone holding the squirrel that they had just shot out of a tree...

Sad to see another public shooting incident, but unfortunately we can't legislate crazy/violent people out of existence. Glad to hear the perp was the only one killed.

The shooter's name is Thomas Piccard and he was a retired Wheeling, WVA police officer with over 20 years of service. He retired 13 years ago and was 55 when he was killed. Authorities have no idea of a motive.
