mj, for backyard shooting a K,L, or N frame would be great. I have all 3, and enjoy them all. I am not sure why you want new, but that is only my opinion. My newest revolver is a 625 JM, 2009, and I bought it used, last year. My son still shoots my father's old 1919 M&P. (his now) I have bought MANY used guns over the years, and only 1 time gotten slightly burned. Most guns loose value the 1st time you pull the trigger, because they are no longer new.
