Ok S&W here's my challenge to you...
See this little gem?
I challenge you to make one of these in full size.
I have a few stipulations however:
1. It must be all stainless steel.
2. No magic dust pot metal components. Oh sorry I mean no MIM please Thanks.
3. 5 inch barrel minimum, although I'd consider a longslide too.
4. Same relief cuts in the slide as on the Shorty45
5. Match barrel and spherical bushing a must.
6. Same slide serrations as the shorty, No forward serration.
7. Standard Novak .330x65°x.075 sight cut front
8. Standard 1911 Novak sight cut rear
(I want to be able to consider the full gamut of available 1911 sight setups should I want to change one or the other or both to suit my taste.)
9. One piece solid stainless guiderod .260 diameter fit with an ISMI flatwire recoil spring
10. Melonite treatment on slide, frame, barrel, extractor, slide stop, M/S safety & ambi lever.
11. choice of spurred or spurless hammers when ordering.
12. Optional conversion kit or a full upper + mags & recoil spring for 10mm.
And....since it is the wish list...
13. I want the frame drilled & tapped for grip scales ala. 645. and backstrap inserts either molded composite or machined stainless ( no aluminum) although I'd go for titanium... both straight and curved to use with the presentation wood scales. But I also require the option of using standard 3rd gen zytel grips when I don't want to risk banging up the pretty wood.
Well, that's all I can think of right now.
Anyone else think of anything to add?
