Hey Guys-

I am getting my permit soon, but I am looking for something comfortable to carry my SW40 in. I am a skinny dude and the SW40 is a pretty big gun for me to tuck in a waistband, unless you have suggestions

Here is something I like or feel would suit me:

I will mostly carry my smith with me in the car, walking, etc. I would like something that I can use for most places I go. Any ideas for a 150 pound, skinny white man?

Just another note... the reason the one above appeals and I am looking for similiar, is because I wear shorts and t-shirts a lot too

Grandmastem,

I have a Fatboy and it is amazing what you can carry in that thing! It is SLOW to draw from, but fairly comfortable and in my opinion, a better mode than a fanny pack. If you wear shorts and t-shirts a lot, you might find a J-frame, especially an air weight, in the pocket is better than the Fatboy. When I obtained my CHL, I thought I would carry my Sigma 40F, or H&K P7, or Model 625, and was amazed to find out why the old-timers carried J frames instead of larger pistols. My EDC is an air weight J frame Centennial in the front pants pocket with a Seecamp .32ACP in the other front pocket as a New York reload.

Best of luck,

Dave

Just wear a belt and pull your T shirt over it. Any quality IWB or OWB holster should work. A Sigma really isn't all that large or heavy.

I too have a Fatboy and love it. Sometimes I carry a 2 1/2' 686 and other a HK USP 40. Pockets are large, well build and slings over the shoulder nice.

It looks more like a computer case or camera bag that a fanny bag that screams concealed weapon
