Mac is now 19. When he was a kitten we were worried that our other cats and dog would take advantage of his size and youth. His breeder said: "Don't worry that cat knows that he is king of the world, he'll take over the house." Of course he has.

What kind of a cat is Mac? He's so beautiful.

Barb;
Mac is a Ruddy Abyssinian, Abby for short. He would be considered an Old Fashioned Abby now, mostly because of his size and color.
Back in the 1940-50 time period a male Abby was expected to be the same color as Mac but weigh at least 16#, Mac weighted 13 at his heaviest. When that photo was taken Mac was near 13#s and hard as an oak log.
Now days the breeders like smaller, lighter colored cats. But I still see cats like Mac around. The females are usually smaller, perhaps 8-9 pounds.
I told Mac that people on the forum liked his photo, he yawned.

Here is a pic of Gwenny the gun cat with her Model 19s.

Normanvin... I cannot tell for sure from the pics, but it appears your female Saint is rough and the male smooth. Yes?

Great looking dogs, whatever they be! :) The Rotti too. :)

A BLAST

From the past. My GSD, Tor Von Martin, circa 1973. What a dog! Me and him playing, that dog was an animal!

Here's Doc with a good two-legged friend and a pheasant he flushed and retrieved. He loves his job. Preston

This is my best friend Houston! I love him more than life its self. He gets to come to work with me everyday. Hes fat, has bad gas, is very lazy...but hes got a heart of gold! Hes a bloodhound and 4 years old. I rescued him when he was 2. He had never been in a house, car, or vets office. Now he sleeps in the bed and eats from the table! God bless em

Yes she is a rough coat. She is 5 years old now. Has not broken 85lbs. People stop me all the time to ask if she is pure Saint. She is a big lap dog. The male is a smooth coat. He is coming up on 4 years old. He is stuck at 118lbs.

The rotti is 5 years old. He goes about 130. He blew his acl a few years ago, so the wife works hard at keeping his weight down.

And God bless you, for showing Houston the good life, and taking him into your home! :)
