Show off your Model 29s and 629s!

I picked this 98% 29-3 up for $500 with box and docs, on of my best S&W purchases.

Does anyone on here have a 629PC 12" barrel? I was winning an auction for one last year and lost out. Would love to add the 12" to my stash.

DesertFox, love the grips on that 8 & 3/8's. As you can probably tell from a lot of the pics I post, I'm a fan of the smooth presentation grips myself . . . .

Here is my favorite, a -2 with a 6.5 inch barrel. I should update the photo, as the revolver now wears a set of smooth facory targets I found in a shop. I don't like checkered stocks with heavy recoil.

I have been collecting and studying the 44 Magnum for over thirty-five years and I am still discovering new things. That is the fun of it as you never know what is going to surface next.

I learned recently that S&W produced one 44 Magnum in 1959 with a 3.5-inch barrel. That makes the known barrel lengths (produced prior to 1979): 3.25 (three, including the one I posted above), 3.5 (one), 4, 4.5 (one), 5, 5.5 (fourteen), 6 (one), 6.5, 7.5 (one) and 8.375.

Bill,
I have some 3" guns, but granted, they were post 1979....

The first was a Lew Horton gun that I modified and carried for years....

The Performance Center made some 3" guns....

Horton produced a series of 3" guns (classics M24, M25, M29) in Nickel and blue:
