Show off your Model 29s and 629s!

Maybe not the prettiest of my 29's, but this might be my favorite. It goes everywhere. It is put together correctly, and very accurate. Actually on second thought, it looks pretty dang good.

That one would be a keeper and shooter for sure. Likey. A lot. :D

Here are a couple of my 29-2's.

And these are not all S&W's but a bunch are. My quest to own 44 .44 Magnums.

Well Big J, your photo came out quite clear and with good detail. Red's my favorite color so that background looks good. Oh, and the pistole looks fine too.

Occasionally something will occur to me that really drives home how fast time goes by. Here is an example. I bought this 4-screw M29 from an Alaskan bush pilot 40 years ago. I remember answering the ad in the paper and going to the guy's house like it was just last month. He kept it in his Super Cub in a leather holster. It had obviously gotten damp a lot as it had a few freckles here and there and there was blueing wear, but it hadn't been fired much. I changed that by running thousands of rounds through it, mostly the Keith load which is all I used for a long time. I packed it on hunting and backpacking trips for years. This revolver is semi-retired now, but it is just as good as it ever was.

Patrick,

What are those grips? They dont appear to be factory Cokes..interested in finding some like that for myself

Kris - Ill speak for Pat because I know the history of these Beauties.
I sent KB a couple pair of Factory, smooth Rosewood target stocks some time back and he checkered them for me giving them a vintage and unique look.
