Show your motorcycles!!

What are those things like on the street?

I ride two-up on pavement a lot.

Great photos everyone! I'm going to have to set up one of those photo accounts. -edit- It worked!
One for slow street, nice and shiny; and one for fast street and in the dirt (good dirt roads). As you can tell I have a 'thing' for mountains.
I think what you really need to do is add a 3rd bike to the quiver :) Pick up a used Suzuki DRZ400S and put some good off-road tires on it and have fun exploring the gravel roads and more when you don't want to take one of the other 2 for a spin.

BTW, I love a Duece. I swear when I sit on one it's like H-D spec'd out the ergos just for me. The forward controls and handlebars just fall right into place. And the straight cut rear fender looks sharp.

I'm inbetween motorcycles right now. My last motorcycle was a Suzuki '99
1200cc Bandit. What a machine it was. It had plenty of power, speed and front wheel lifting pleasure. But it was time to let the speed go.

For bike #1 im thinking of a Harley with good soft suspension. For bike #2 I may go with a cruiser from Japan for the long hauls or a three wheel Russian Ural. I'm sure about the Harley. Just not sure which one.

Good idea. The day I unceremoniously dumped my wife onto her fanny and broke my ankle was the day I started warming her up to the idea of me having a dirt play-bike. She's amenable :)

I bought that Deuce new, and it was a stretch to buy it, but it's paid off and I'll never sell it. It's a unique model, and for some reason it did not sell very well so there are not a lot of these around.

Just saw on Yahoo where the Pope sold his Harley. Actually, he gave it to a charity to be auctioned off for their benefit. He signed the gas tank. The bike went for $328,300! There was also a leather jacket he signed that went for 57,500 Euros.

Bought a second bike for commuting and the occasional track day.

2002 Honda CBR900RR (954) Fireblade
CBR954RR_2002_zps46fa297d.jpg

Only 14 000 miles. Built for track riding: Öhlins suspension front and back, Öhlins steering damper, all plugs and oil filter safety wired, Power Commander, braided brake lines, clutch cover protector, reverse shifter set with adjustable pegs, fairing protectors etc.

I got five pairs of lightly used slicks with the bike, a full race fairing set and another tank for track use, a full set of original road fairings and some other stuff.

The bike works like a new one, nothing to complain about except some slight scratches and tool marks here and there. 140 hp, great torque from 3000 rpm to redline, dry weight just 168 kg (370 lbs).

I installed a Speedohealer to correct the speedometer reading as the sprocket ratios have been changed to lower top speed and make the bike more responsive at lower speeds. Our domestic tracks do not have straights long enough to get to the speeds possible with the long factory ratios. The next upgrade will be a GPS lap timer.

These super sports are my type of motorcycle, light and responsive. I cannot wait for the track days!

my 85 HD. bought new in 85.

Just added another one to the stable... 2002 HD V-Rod

I just found this picture last week.... it's from like 1972, while I was stationed in Puerto Rico.... top picture is my 1968 Sportster XLCH after I put it together from a basket case I purchase while in PR, the bottom picture is my Yamaha 650, also purchased while in PR.. who's that guy ....:D

Well I survived my dirtbike days chasing my son thru the woods. The quad tried to kill me three times before I adjusted to picking lines for two wheels instead of one wheel path. The 1200cc Suzuki bandit taught me what speed and smoothness is all about. The husqvarna dirtbikes taught me about speed in the woods, the green blurr. Yes I survived it all with broken ribs three times. Now I'm settled down, between bikes. It's time to just enjoy the ride and the view. I'm thinking a HD FATBOY but I want rear suspension? I know "0" about HD' s.

Bill... Street Glide all the way... you'll think you are in Heaven..

There are some cool bikes here, I really like the older ones many of you all have.

Here's my 2014 BMW R1200GS Adventure last week in the coastal plain area of Texas. Had a nice ride down the Natchez Trace and central and eastern Texas. On the return I stayed just ahead of the tornados in Mississippi and Arkansas. It was a beautiful ride and I was fortunate to have almost perfect weather.

I grew up riding bikes, so I've had quite a few. Had Harleys from around 2000 through 2013 (the name blackdeuce originated when I had a black Deuce). Sold them all and bought a KTM dirt bike last year so that I could ride with my son. He has a 2002 KTM 200 MXC. Mine is a 2004 KTM 250 EXC. I managed to find one that only had 50 hours on it. It is so much better than the old bikes that I rode. I can't feature needing a nicer bike than it for what I do.

This is my middle son with the two bikes:

I dont have a picture up yet on photo bucket but we recently bought a slightly used 2012 Polaris RZR 900 XL UTV. (A side by side). Due to the bad weather I have only put about less than 200 miles on it. It`s one of the hottest UTV`s made. This thing can hardly be stopped. Its a little tight as its small and we are big. Here is one close to ours. A week ago we were going to go on a ride but right where I was pulling it off the trailer about 20 miles from home I broke the heater hose on my truck. We rode the RZR home. I do have a street legal plate on it but still wasnt legal on the main streets here through our town. We kind of skirted our town and I seen scenery near us I hadnt seen before. Looking forward to giving it a real workout.

My 2006 Harley Road King Classic...

It had 1 mile on it when I bought it in May of 2006. It is now just short of 90,000 miles.

Edmo

Edmo Nice to hear. Is that an 88 or 96" motor? What, if anything other than normal services, have you done/replaced?

Seeing all these bikes makes me miss mine. I had a 2008 XR600. I sold it when my daughter was born. We bought a jeep so we could still get a little wind though.

Here's my bunch. 1980 Suzuki GS1100L, 1168cc, big cams, pipe, headwork and big carbs. Has run mid 10s at over 130MPH. 1979 Suzuki GS1000E, the absolute best machine of any kind I have ever owned. It has 1000s of drag strip passes without engine failure. Arnold Mac 700, very early post-war, has "U.S.zone" stamped on it.
