SIG P365 Malfunction Drills

I had almost the exact same experience with my P365. The first day at the range nothing but light primer strikes. Took it home cleaned it went back to the range now at 500 plus rounds with no problems. I didn't see a plastic burr, but the symptoms are identical. +1 on Vedder holster for it. I got one of the inside the waistband type and it disappears. Wife actually asked me why I stopped carrying. She was surprised when I showed her I still was.

I've got mine for 5 months now and have over 1,250 rounds of all types, weights and brands of ammo through it - not one single hick-up! In fact, it's so reliable it is now my EDC! :)

I purchased an LE blue label P365 a couple of weeks ago.

I ran 50 rounds of HST 124+P through it today, along with another 150 rounds of 115 range ammo, and also a half a box of aluminum cased garbage ammo.

Not one problem.

I've put another 270 rounds through the P365: 100 rounds of Winchester WB, 100 Federal AE, 50 rounds of Winchester 147gr HST and 20 rounds of SIG 115gr CCW. Zero problems.
After looking at all the options available, I ordered a Vedder Pocket Locker. I should get it this week and then I'll start carrying it in rotation with my 642 until I'm fully comfortable with it.
I really like the size and handling characteristics of this pistol and with the 12 round mag +1 in the chamber and a spare 12 round mag, I'm very happy with the on board capacity.

Find that piece of black plastic. Sig puts a plastic sleeve around the striker. If I were you I would grab a video and remove and check the striker. If you do disassemble the striker note there are two springs in that unit. One is tiny with a couple of coils and it is very easy to miss when you are pulling it apart. This one works pretty well. You may not need to tear it all the way down but make sure all the parts are the same in this video.
