Sig Romeo5

Not sure if this is the right place for it but, any opinions on this red dot?
I like the auto on/off and long battery life with it.
Any negatives from those that have used it?

I've got two and can find no flaw in them. Well-built, positive and repeatable adjustments, long battery life, very clear optics and a sharp dot. Palmetto State Armory has then on sale right now for $100, a great bargain.

Mine sit's on top of a .300 Blackout AR pistol, always works. no problems.

I have two - one on a 5.56 and one on a 300 BLK - both work great. I've sat and watched, and the dot does go out when it sits still for a time, then instantly comes to life as you move it. Great optic for my use.

Just for kicks, I conducted an experiment a while back. I wanted to see whether the red dot on the Romeo5 actually powered down after 2 minutes the way SIG says it will. And I was curious to find out how much movement was necessary to reactivate the reticle.
Well, it turns out that the sight does power down after 2 minutes. and, believe it or not, I was able to reactivate the reticle by doing nothing more than breathing hard on the gun. Awesome!

I am not an AR guy by any estimation. But I tried one with Romeo 5 on my 70 yo eyes. Works superbly for 100$. I shot 1" 5 hole groups @ 100 yds with the worst progressive weight trigger of any one's nightmare. I replaced it with a Weaver K4 so I can see better. they both sit unfired since, and will remains so until I trade them off. My civil defense rifle is an 03-A3.

I took my Burris fast fireII off and have been trying this Sig. The auto on-off makes it an easy choice for me.
I just don't know how it would be long term but it sounds like it's going to be fine.
