Hello,
My daughter purchased a sigma 9mm. It sometimes won't go fully into battery when shooting it. Should we just call S&W or give it some time? We shot about 50 rounds thru it. Yes, we lubed it good.

wwb fmj and remington fmj. then remington hps.
they all worked fine in my G26.
It stopped jamming on me after about 25 rounds but jammed on her toward the end of the mag.

I purchased a new 9VE last year. While most people on this forum have no problems with hollow point ammo, my 9VE did. I still own a 40VE and a 9F that cycle any type of ammo fed with no problems, but the 9VE would not cycle a few HPs, Federal in particular. The 9VE was flawless with FMJ, but I sold it(nearly as much as paid for it) and bought a used 40VE.

That should be ok for ammo. Nether of mine fail with that same ammo. Perhaps it is just new I would shoot it a few more rounds. Are you shooting it with a solid grip?

Yes, I have a firm grip and it stopped jamming on me after about 25 rounds.(slide wouldn't go all the way forward after shot fired.)
My daughter said her finger was tired (LOL) and she flinched so that might be the problem.
That trigger sure is hard to pull near the end of the travel.
We got another box of blazer at walmart and will shoot it sometime this week to see if it is straightened out. If it still does it we will send it back to S&W I guess as she has shot my glock26 and S&W 457 without them jamming.

Those things are usually super reliable, as far as feed/eject and cycling properly, from everything I've read. (reguardless of bullet style) Only problem I ever had with my 9VE was when I put a reduced power striker spring in it (to solve the heavy trigger) It started failing to fire due to light primer hits, about 1 in every 10.. So, out it came and she's back to 100% reliable.. (As you've probably read, dry firing it a bunch will eventually help the trigger pull a little.) Send that baby in and have em check it out! And tell em the trigger is too stiff as well.. They'll pay for everyting and have it back to ya within a week or so.. Best of luck!

Groo here
Is it a new version or an orginal?
The Office got the orginal ones when they first came out and we ended up sending a few back
to the factory every year due to problems with
feed.
These wwere the first ones not the last production.

If you've only shot 50 through since new I'd give it another 150rds before I sent it in. Check the front of the chamber for any residue, I use a denial pick, sometimes there is stuff left in there from the factory. Although not the easiest to do, repeated dry fire will help smooth the trigger(and strengthen the trigger finger). If you still having a problem then it's time to call S&W and have them look at it.

Yeah make sure she is holding it tight cause my 9VE jams on my wife occasionally but I have never has it jam on me once. I just think its the way she holds it. Must have a firm grip to send the slide back to battery position. I love my gun!!!
