Single-stack 9mm conceal carry pistol

of course the old standbys

like a 1911 9mm or a Model 39-2 come to mind as perennial favorites...

My Rock Island 9mm 1911 is identical in appearance to this .45 version

one 39-2 now, the other has been traded

I was looking for the same a single stack 9mm, I ended up buying a 3913 and love it. I thought about a sig 225 but it was a little big and the 239 was a bit pricey. I looked at the KAHR and gave them some serious thought until I found a good used 3913.

With the finger lip mags it fits my hand well, it is slim and easy to shoot.

If somebody from Smith & Wesson was reading this thread, do you think they might have been a little hasty getting the 3913-53 and varient's discontinued...They were great pistols......Some times you just got to wonder who makes those decesions????

Man! Y'all have trotted out some sweet weaponry! I shoot Sig 220, 232, and I traded a P250 Subcompact 40S&W for an S&W 39-2. For those who were talking about the P250, the size of the M&P compact is identical to the Sig P250 Subcompact. But the trigger is sooooooo much sweeter. I'm thinking my next 40 is going to be the M&P. Before I made the trade, I carried the P250 in DeSantis Sof-tuk very comfortably. And I'm a skinny type.

Good suggestions. I did shoot a friend's Kahr the other day, and liked the feel of it. Only problem is that I'm a lefty, and the slide release and magazine release toggles were not very left-hand friendly. Otherwise, it was a nice pistol.

Anyone have any experience with Walthers or CZ?

I realize this is an old thread but i you haven't bought one yet here are my $0.002. BTW Im also a lefty.

The CZ Rami does come with ambi safeties so you can carry cocked and locked but thats it. I had the Walther PPS (not the PPQ) while it was a nice gun and I had no mechanical issues with it my hands were too lager for the grips. I would end up accidently engaging the mag release (the one that runs the length of the trigger guard). Also with the walther yo wont be able to use the slide release. It is almost flush with the slide and frame and towards the back. Think Glock like but even less protruding. I traded it for a Kahr CW9. Have been using it for 2 years now, o complaints.

There really arnt any single stack compacts or bug guns that are lefty friendly. Trust me I looked. The only ones that are are full size single stack. 1911's P220s, 3rd gen smiths, CZ85...

What type holster are you using?
My favorite is a leather "Pancake". I can carry a full size weapon all day in comfort using a pancake and good leather belt.
I stopped using nylon and plastic holsters and belts after receiving death threats from Ray. (LOL)
