Just got an email... Survey to join the Smith and Wesson Gun Cabinet.

"We are pleased to invite you to join the Smith & Wesson Gun Cabinet, a private online community where your opinion and advice matter. Here, we'll speak with you regularly about our products, advertising, competitors, and more!"


I'm usually pretty good about sniffing out scams. Not sure about this one... Anyone else know about this?

I tried the survey and was rejected, I do not fit the group they are trying to question to help them screw up the company more than it is.

I'm suspecting this is a phishing scam. Think I'll call S&W tomorrow and see what they say.

Just like in post #2 I tried it and got rejected after answering the 2nd question about age, 75.

I started the survey and then it got increasingly data demanding. When it wanted me to give quantities of each type of firearm I own, I bailed.

I don't think it's a scam, but it sure as heck is intrusive. I'm not playing.

Smart move. If I never let my ex- know how many guns I owned, I'm sure as heck not gonna tell some stranger online!

How many people respond accurately on these questionnaires?

People will inflate or deflate according to what they think the survey is after.

They're after target age, income, and interest. Some of the questions lead me to think they were hawking the autoloader market.

While I agree from a revolver aspect, I took the time to communicate that.

I like their new semi-autos. Without a conscious effort, I own 3!
