Smith and Wesson shield in stock

They had a 9mm version at the academy here in Waco but it went up to $450 from $400 so it went from instant buy to nah... I'd rather have the 40 if I am going to pay that...

Just ordered the 9mm for $429 + $25 ship + $15 FFL fee. D&L seem like a bunch of nice guys to deal business with. Very courteous.

$429? I must have misheard him, EVEN BETTER! ;] I paid $25 for my FFL. Oh yeah, good people for sure. Also they are getting a lot of these shields for some reason but the more the better. I'm kinda contemplating calling them back and ordering a 40 just to see how they feel..
 
Was just told $429 over the phone by a rep at D&L for the Shield 9, and he said he had 50 in stock!! I called my LGS about doing the transfer, and he is going to be getting 2 on Wednesday for $459, so I'll just buy local. They both come to about the same price when you calculate shipping and transfer fee.

Hopefully this will help someone out looking for a Shield.

Good store with good people..its only a few miles down the road from me.

I was told their lead time on Shields (9mm) was only 2-3 weeks so I went ahead and put my name on the list.

This was back on 1/29...so it's been a little more than 3 weeks..but I'm being patient :)
 
Heading to a local shop it thing in the morning. They got a hieny yesterday. Gonna be waiting at the door hoping there's one left and available.

D&L Shooting Supplies in RI has some in 9mm in stock unsure about 40s.. They ship to FFLs. Just placed my order somewhere in the 465 after everything range
 
Just called them (3/4/13 - Shooters Outpost, NH that is) .... I was told they will not sell/ship out of state but did have at least the 9mm in stock. :(

Updated later in afternoon: Called D&L and placed order for 9mm. Sounds like they have good supply and selling for $439 plus 25$ shipping..... within a few cents on price. Working out logistics now with local FFL. D&L does ship out of state ...no issues there.

Just scored a .40 Shield

South Georgia Outdoors (in Cairo, GA) got 10 in last week. Bought one today. They're going to do an FFL transfer for me. $20 for shipping, plus my dealer's $25 fee. Puts the final price around $525 (gun was $449)

My buddy just called and found the Glock he wanted. Good luck!

Silver Bullet Firearms has 24 shields they just got in today (Michigan).

Last time they sold out I asked if they could ship, and they said YES...so when I called today to place an order (9mm), lady informed me I was not allowed to order. Very pissed off.

D&L told me this morning they had around 200 in stock! Ordered mine, so grab them while you can.

I am kind of wondering if they're lying about having that many...
I hope we all that have ordered from there do not get cheated.

I ordered a Shield 9mm from them awhile back. My FFL dealer received it in about a week with no problems - so feel confident on ordering from them!
 
I believe maybe production is starting to catch up based on what I am seeing from LGSs. Shooters Outpost has/had a ton of them delivered yesterday in both flavors selling at 399.99. I guess there was a big line this morning before the place opened lol. I just saw on FB that another LGS SL Gunshop got 40 Shields in as well
 
Just called D&L to order mine. Bad news for me is the ones they have are not MA compliant. The good news for everyone else is they still have 9mm and 40 in stock! Just my luck!!!

Just move out of state.. I got a call from my LGS that my shield came in from D&L earlier in the day. Picked it up, got some hollow points for the house and now I'm searching for a holster. D&L was quick and professional.. Also looking around for a smith 686 plus, another hard find..
 
I've been on a waiting list for about 2 mos now and the store said "Don't hold your breath". So I ordered one from D&L today. $439 plus 25 bucks shipping. Not bad. Should be here by wednesday. Thanks for the tip.

Haven't gotten my shield yet. This FFL transfer is a PITA.

Anyways, I picked up the following holster.
High Noon Split Decision

Seems to have gotten good reviews as an IWB holster. Only negative is that it is not a molded holster. But to me that's good as I can use it with my Bodyguard as well (hopefully).

A little pricey ($52), but as my neighbor says, "You can be cheap, but don't be cheap on guns, ammo, and accessories." He had a cheap ankle holster fall off. SO we'll see if this falls in the category of moderate priced or cheap. :D

Also, got 2 x 8 rd mags from Midway. $32 each.
