Sent my SW9M in a couple weeks ago for jamming issues. Got a call yesterday that it is "not repairable" and they are sending me a new SD9VE! First Smith i ever had an issue with and they took care of the issue. Just glad i didnt love the gun

My new SD9VE came in a couple days ago, picking her up tonight! Still very happy Smith took care of it, and CS was very easy to work with! Definitely makes me more likely to purchase from a company when their Warranty is great. I have many Kershaw knives for that reason alone

Be 3 weeks this Monday sent my FS in for trigger headed pin backing out. I didn't really have a problem with it as it could not leave the gun because it sits under TDL. But they wanted to see/change it, suspect they will replace locking block also. I sure do miss it!!!

They sent an e-mail prepaid label, called Fed-ex at 10 and the truck was here by 1.

Service is great, although I don't want to be without it this amount of time, I understand under today's conditions they are busy.

This is my EDC and ONLY pistol. So I think it's time to learn to fix it myself or buy a 2nd.

What happens to the life time warranty on a S&W pistol if bought used, I have a buddy that just picked up a SW9VE used in really good condition recently?

Smiths lifetime warranty is for the original purchaser. They may choose to warranty or not warranty a firearm that you bought used

Honestly, (and you can search the forum to back this up, as it's been many user's experience) in most cases S&W will do warranty work on your gun, regardless of whether or not you're the first owner. You call them up, give them the problem, they issue a return label, and Bob's your uncle.

Mine will be home tomorrow! Shipped yesterday. Just a shade more than 3 weeks. Great service, but unless I have a catastrophic failure, I'm learning to take it all apart myself. Plus now I get to buy another 1.:D

Got gun back today, didn't have time to go to range. It came back as "this firearm was test fired and determined to meet factory specification. No repairs were necessary as the firearm is in proper working order". DUH, they asked for it back, I just asked if it was a problem, I was fine with the pin as it could not leave the gun at any time. So other than the lost time they at least wanted to see it to be sure it was fine. I'll still give them a thumbs up for service.:D

On the plus side, they sent me a free 15 round mag!!

Ginzo: The only thing you can really only afford to have one of...is a wife! I got a gun for my wife. Best trade I ever made. That is how come I now have two guns.
