After taking out my strain screw to shorten it a little instead of holding the mainspring in place i screwed up and the mainspring fell out, being an ignoramous i attempted to take the screws out of the side plate i noticed I didnt have a bit to fit the one screw up and near the hammer, Im a little confused, does that screw come out? it looks like the side plate slides under that particuliar screw but im not sure. Or do i need to find a screwdriver bit to fit that particuliar screw?Not being a gunsmith Im also confused how the mainspring came out when your have to take the side plate off to install it..Any help appeciated..

The main spring hooks on the stirrup, that hangs off the back of the hammer and with no tension on it, it can come off. With a little patience, you could probably rehook the spring back on there w/o taking the side plate off.
