Hi,

I have a Model 1 3rd Variation. The hammer won't stay back. I am guessing it might be sear. I have to take the side plate off & see what is going on in there. I have it a long time but never got a chance to look at it to see if I can fix it. Did any of you ever have any experience fixing these? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
maxshadow

Nice little revolver. Chambered for the OLD 22 Short, meaning a much lower powered cartridge than what is currently called by that name. I have a similar revolver but with a square butt.

Not really sure where you can find parts except maybe on this forum. Many parts can be found in the WTB area.

With the amount of rust I see around the rosewood stocks, I wonder if the mechanism is rusted or full of dried oils? Many times, a thorough cleaning will be all that is required. Unless you are skilled at the use of small ceramic file stones, I would not tackle the job of reshaping the hammer or sear.

Thank You for your replies & help. Sorry I didn't get back sooner. I tried pulling the hammer back & pushing the trigger out at the same time but the trigger is stuck. So probably this weekend I will take off the side plate & grips & give it a good cleaning. I will let you guys know how I made out. Thanks again,
