I ran across a SW9M pistol recently for sale, it looks like it was fired very little. I never had much experience with them, did they have any issues? This one has one 7 round mag with it but no box, what's the going rate for these and what do I look out for?

What model S&W 9mm ? Is it a Shield? Full size etc!

I have the SW380 sibling to the SW9M, and it still shoots, but I don't shoot it much. Went back to S&W twice in the first year.
These guns are obsolete and not supported by S&W. The slides are not steel and are prone to breakage.
Unless it is very cheap or you want a curiosity, I would not recommend buying it, certainly not for a gun you have to depend on.

It should not be confused with the SW9VE and SD9VE which are rugged and reliable.

As inexpensive as a new SD9 (or 40) VE can be found, ( seen them as low as $259 online) it is really hard not buying one over a used SW9 model. You will have a new gun that is an upgraded version of the SW9 with a lifetime warranty. Just my 2 cents worth.

It would have to be a pretty low price indeed, David.

And even then, I would have to be face to face to examine it.

The cheapest I have seen them is $279.99 locally. That's cheaper than buying on-line and paying for shipping, FFL fees, etc.
